This week I featured the following songs…
RAKIM “WALK THESE STREETS” FT. MAINO
Reef’s take:
New heat from the God MC with a lil assist from Maino from his solo album which comes out Nov. 17th. The divide between today’s hip-hop fans and those who are fans from way back never fails to spark debate. Which brings us to Rakim. The prospect of a long overdue solo project excites many (yours truly included) while a lot of other folks would rather “kill dat noise”. I say live and let live.
Callers take:
Some callers didn’t want to hear that “old school shit” while others loved it so there it is.
SNOOP DOGG “GANGSTA LUV” FT. THE-DREAM
Reef’s take:
Snoop is swinging for the fences with this one and this should work for him. Fellas you may not dig this one but I bet ya girl will so get ready to hear this one a lot on the radio and in the car.
Caller’s take:
The fellas called in to hate saying it’s too soft so that’s a sure sign of a hit record.
USDA “CTE 4 LIFE”
Reef’s take:
USDA has adjusted the line-up a bit but they don’t miss a step here with the bangin track courtesy of The Bizness. Soon to be heard rattling from a car system in a hood near you.
Callers take:
Very positive feedback on this one.
YOUNG DRO “I DON’T KNOW YALL” FT. YUNG L.A.
Reef’s take:
Grand Hustle reps heavy with the latest from Dro. Two very different and distinct styles trade puchlines on this one.
Callers take:
Callers were split on whether this song was all good.
ROYCE DA 5′9″ “DINNER TIME” FT. BUSTA RHYMES
Reef’s take:
Another strong new offering from one of the D’s finest spitters as anticipation for his Oct. 20th solo albums builds. Should be a good one so get ready.
Callers take:
Callers were def feeling this one.

Love that Rakim sound like a Dr Dre beat if it is thats y it’s so good. Snoops & ROYCE DA 5′9″ was good to.Busta is a fool.
