According to allhiphop rumors, Def Jam will be having massive layoffs soon. I have to say, I don’t think the promotions for Ghostface, Amerie, The Dream, or even Fabolous were up to par. Unfortunately, the holidays are usually the time when these things happen in the music industry.
On the brighter side of things, Def Jam has a new video game called Def Jam Rapstar and according to Blackspot over at 4mm games, “You don’t have to beat anybody up in this one. You just have to rhyme along to songs and not just Def Jam joints!”
Nice, kinda reminds me of hip-hop karaoke… I’ll let you know how it goes when I test it out, but for now see the trailer below:
