These guys may not have been included as XXL Freshmen to watch out for but that doesn’t mean they aren’t fresh.  This is a feel good summer record expertly crafted—beat, hook, and lyrics.  A group to keep an eye on for sure in my humble opinion.

CYPRESS HILL “CARRY ME AWAY” FT. MIKE SHINODA

The Cypress crew come through with another banger from their 4/20 release (my birthday no less!!!).  A perfect balance of rock melody and influence courtesy of Linkin Park’s Shinoda, with a solid hip hop foundation so it doesn’t sound contrived or forced.  Go support Cypress and 4/20!!!

REFLECTION ETERNAL “STRANGERS” FT. BUN B

Hi-Tek brings the horns while Talib and Bun trade catchy punchlines and slick wordplay on this bouncy joint.  Definitely building anticipation for their new Revolutions Per Minute album due next month!
