LIL WAYNE “RIGHT ABOVE IT” FT. DRAKE

Always an event when Aubrey and Dwayne get together on a track.  Sounds like it was recorded during the “we like girls” sessions–very happy, very autotune and very radio friendly .  Not loving the song but had Wayne not been locked up this not have seen the light of day so I’m not going to judge it too harshly and you shouldn’t either.  Being in jail sucks–shouts to Weezy keep ya spirits up!!!

N.O.R.E. “NUTCRACKER”

I think if the right things fall into place Nore has himself a hit. Producer Scoop Deville continues his late 80’s early 90’s hip hop renaissance movement giving a modern facelift to Public Enemy’s “911 is a Joke” but with a club/party groove and Nore handles the rest giving us his finest single in awhile.

BUN B “RIGHT NOW” FT. PIMP C, 2PAC, TREY SONGZ

Well if you live under a rock or something and haven’t copped Bun B’s new Trill OG album shame on you!  Not only are you not supporting on OG of the game it’s also a great album so you’re missing out.  Don’t be a buster.  Go cop Trill OG and enjoy this particular record with new verses from 2 deceased legends.  Can’t really go wrong here.

THA DOGG POUND “I FEARS NO ONE”

From the upcoming 100 Wayz album this record is a real problem!!!  Crazy how Some 15 plus years since we first set ears on Tha Dogg Pound on “The Chronic” they are still putting it down for the West.  Take yourself some “Lyrical Gangbang”, some sick moog synth lines, killer drums let the rappers RAP!  Type of shit that makes the head nod and your face screw up.  I’ve said it before but is there a more slept on MC than kurupt?  Cmon give that boy his props.

ICE CUBE “DRINK THE KOOL AID”

Newest offering from his I AM The West album due Sept. 28^th.   I liked the first single “I Am The West” this one however… not so much.  Still looking forward to the new album.  The callers really tore into this tho.  Got to a point where everyone was just sitting there listening saying “DAYUM!”
