He talks about proving the naysayers wrong (Charlamagne included) and discusses his relationship with Kanye West and the G.O.O.D. Music family. He responds to The Game’s “Uncle Otis” diss record and addresses Consequence dissing Kanye saying its “way personal.” He talks about getting his first MTV VMA nomination. Sean said he never met Eminem, but he’s cool with Royce Da 5′9″. He said he’s real proud of Detroit despite the many issues. He talks about the leaked tracks with Wiz Khalifa and Curren$y, touring with Wiz, and Envy asked him if he looks at Amber Rose’s A$$. It’s a Queens/Brooklyn collaboration from Con’s long awaited album.  Rumor has it he put together a solid album so if this is any indication of what’s to come listeners should be happy.

Philly/Rocafella former young gunner recruits another young gunner in  J. Cole as they both provide blistering verses from this track from Chris’s upcoming mixtape release.  Chris falls into that slept-on MC’s category in my book.  Anyone care to disagree???

LIL WAYNE “MILLON DOLLAR BABY” FT. DJ DRAMA

Weezy spits fire over this Just Blaze produced gem with the assist from our good buddy DJ Drama (catch him and DJ Sense Fridays from 8-10pm on shade 45) which for whatever reason didn’t make it onto his Gangsta Grillz album but WHATEVER! The song is out there now, there’s no auto-tune to be found and Wayne and The Megatron Don do their thing. Drama, holla back @ me and let me know the scoop willya???

New heat from the Queensbridge vet keeping the Mobb Deep franchise current. Not too many cats out there that can create their own music and rap on it equally well but Hav has been doin it for years so don’t sleep!!!

Reef’s take:

New offering from Kanye’s Good Music affiliate assisted by Cory Mo and Mista F.A.B. is a laid back groove with smooth talk on finessing the ladies. This song took a couple of listens for me to get into but it’s catchy in a sneaky kind of way. Chi-town stand up!!!!

I’m still recovering from the 1 year anniversary party for the Morning After show on Shade 45/Sirius XM Radio. DJ Wonder, Emoticon, and I hosted the event at Taj, and so many people helped us out. Sometimes we live in a bubble, where we just show up to work, do our jobs, and go home so it’s definitely an ego boost when you realize that people know and like the show.

The evening kicked off with the ladies showing up early to get their makeup and false eyelashes done, courtesy of KISS Cosmetics. Hennessy Black was on hand early as well, so we could get sloshy (nothing like drunk girls at a party).

Then my girls from Lux Sugar came down with the specialty cupcakes and dessert bars (www.lux-sugar.com) and I ate about 8 of those.
